Presents Teddy Bear Toss and Stuff-A-Bus

Presented by Bell THIS SUNDAY

SAULT STE MARIE, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  December 2, 2022 (SNews)  With the holiday season just around the corner, the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club is pleased to be hosting their annual Teddy Bear Toss and Stuff-A-Bus Presented by Bell on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4TH when they play host to the Owen Sound Attack.

Game time is 2:07 p.m. at the GFL Memorial Gardens.

All fans attending the game are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal to the game and when the Hounds score their first goal of the game, fans are to throw the stuffed animals onto the ice. Please place stuffed animals in a plastic bags prior to tossing them on the ice.

For the “Stuff-A-Bus” portion of the event, a Sault Transit bus will be parked at the main entrance of the GFL Memorial Gardens and staff will be accepting donations of new toys and winter clothing (socks, hats, mitts, scarves, and jackets) along with non-perishable food items.

All donations from this event will go towards Christmas Cheer to help brighten the holidays for thousands of families in our community.

The Soo Greyhounds would like to thank all our fans in advance for their continued support of this great event and we look forward to seeing you all rink side on Sunday December 4th.

To purchase tickets for this event, or any regular season home games, visit the SK Group Box Office inside the GFL Memorial Gardens during regular business hours of 10 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 2 PM Saturday or you can purchase online at www.gflgardens.ca/greyhounds .

CHRISTMAS CHEER DEPOT INFORMATION
Donations can also be made at the Christmas Cheer depot located inside the Station Mall, located in front of the former IDA.

Hours of operation are 9 AM to 4 PM Monday to Friday.

Application lines are now open! Telephone 705-575-5100 Monday to Friday 9AM to 4PM to apply.

Deadline to apply for Christmas Cheer is Friday, Dec. 2nd.

The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds are a major junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. The Greyhounds play home games at the GFL Memorial Gardens. The present team was founded in 1962 as a team in the Northern Ontario Hockey Association.

Porter Airlines launching four non-stop routes from Ottawa

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  December 14, 2022 (LSNews)    Porter Airlines is launching four new Canadian and U.S. routes from Ottawa International Airport. Starting March 27, 2023 passengers will be able to fly on daily non-stop flights between Ottawa and Boston, New York-Newark, Quebec City and Thunder Bay, featuring Porter’s elevated economy experience. 

Porter will be the only airline providing year-round daily direct flights to Boston, Quebec City and Thunder Bay from Ottawa. People from Canada’s Capital Region will benefit from the convenient travel links these routes provide.
