FIRE AT NOTORIOUS TRAP HOUSE ON BETHUNE STREET

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~  September 29, 2022 (LSNews)  Inside Edition sources indicate the Thunder Bay Fire Rescue & Police responded to a fire today, Thursday September 29,2022 at a notorious trap house located at 126 Bethune Street.

The location has been the site of numerous police calls for violence, murders, drug busts and overdoses.

TBPS MEDIA RELATIONS COORDINATOR SCOTT PARADIS IS REFUSING TO TELL THE PUBLIC AGAIN

 

 

 

 

 

No word yet on the cause of the fire or any injuries.

Anyone with information or pictures on this trap house fire is encouraged to message our page.

As per usual practice, TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis is refusing to tell the public again.

OVERDOSE & GUN SHOTS FIRED

Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers are real busy tonight, Friday August 20,2021

They responded to an overdose call at 126 Bethune Street shortly after 9pm.

Black males were seen running out of the trap house before TBPS Officers arrived. The female overdose victim was taken to hospital and her condition is unknown at this point.

The black males returned to the trap house once police officers left the scene.

Then, shortly after 10pm, gunshots were fired approximately 2 blocks away in the downtown area.

Police are currently investigating and looking for the shooters.

As per usual practice, the Director of Communications at TBPS is not telling the public about a gun shooter on the loose.

Murders Thunder Bay vs other Ontario Cities

Thunder Bay maintained its title as the murder capital of Canada in 2018,  For the third consecutive year - and the fourth time in the last five years

 It has been announced again that Thunder Bay is the Murder Capital of Canada for 2018 in Canada for CMAs with populations between 100,000 to less than 500,000 people

Thunder Bay had the highest rate in that category with 6.38 homicides per 100,000.

Thunder Bay has the highest Opiod death Rate in Ontario

It’s made Thunder Bay the highest per capita opioid death rate in Ontario.

The 44 deaths were a 40 per cent increase from 2017, a year in which Thunder Bay also held the highest provincial rate.

Between July 2017 and June 2018, nearly 3,900 naloxone kits were handed out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and local pharmacies, 

 

 

Thunder Bay is that the homicide rate for 2017 is down from 2016 when it stood at 6.62 per 100,000
