DFC HIGH SCHOOL EMPLOYEE SEXUALLY ASSAULTED BY STUDENT

Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School in Northwood

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~  September 22, 2022 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers responded to a 911 call yesterday, Wednesday September 21,2022 at the Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School in Northwood.

It’s alleged that a male student followed an indigenous female employee at thae school and allegedly cornered her in a storage room to grope her buttocks in a hope to get sex out of the employee.

The employee resisted and phoned police.

BPS MEDIA RELATIONS COORDINATOR SCOTT PARADIS REFUSING TO TELL THE PUBLIC AGAIN

A male suspect who just turned 18 years old on September 20 was identified and arrested.

An 18 year old BRAYDEN DAY of Deer Lake Reserve,  was criminally charged with:

  • -sexual assault

DAY spent the night in custody at Balmoral Police Station and was ordered released this morning, Thursday September 22,2022 by Justice of the Peace Jane Hawtin with conditions to not go to DFC school and not contact victim

DAY has another court appearance on October 25,2022

TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis is refusing to tell the public again. He has no concern for indigenous females in our city.

Murders Thunder Bay vs other Ontario Cities

Thunder Bay maintained its title as the murder capital of Canada in 2018,  For the third consecutive year - and the fourth time in the last five years

 It has been announced again that Thunder Bay is the Murder Capital of Canada for 2018 in Canada for CMAs with populations between 100,000 to less than 500,000 people

Thunder Bay had the highest rate in that category with 6.38 homicides per 100,000.

It’s made Thunder Bay the highest per capita opioid death rate in Ontario.

The 44 deaths were a 40 per cent increase from 2017, a year in which Thunder Bay also held the highest provincial rate.

Between July 2017 and June 2018, nearly 3,900 naloxone kits were handed out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and local pharmacies,
