Update TBay Leaf and Yard Waste Collection Scheduled

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  May 19, 2022 (LSNews)  Curbside collection of leaf and yard waste will be delayed due to the late arrival of spring, taking place between May 31 – June 10, on regular recycling days during that two-week-period.

Only Kraft (paper bags) will be accepted for leaf and yard waste. Bags are available at most hardware and grocery stores. Each filled bag must weigh less than 18 kg (40 lbs.).

Branches and brush may also be left at the curb for collection. Bundles of branches must be less than one metre (39 inches) long and no more than 61 cm or (24 inches) in diameter, tied using string or rope.

There is no limit on the number of bags for leaf and yard waste collection. Residents are reminded to place the waste at the curb on their regular recycling day, as indicated on their waste collection calendars, before 7 am. Look for the leaf symbol on your waste collection calendar. Grass clippings will not be accepted.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~   November 29, 2022 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers have laid drug dealing charges on a suspected killer & accessory to murder. 

A 27 year old ISAAC TALBOT-HALL of Toronto and a 27 year old QUALYNN JENELLE LOON were both criminally charged with:

  • -possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  November 29, 2022 (LSNews) Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers responded to a robbery call yesterday, Monday November 28, 2022. 

It’s alleged that an indigenous male suspect was stealing merchandise in the Staples store at 767 Memorial Avenue. The suspect was asked to stop stealing and then pulled out a box cutter knife. 

The entire incident was captured on video surveillance.

These are some of the high and low points I observed by reviewing key aspects of the testimonies of the Liberals most senior Cabinet members, the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, Attorney General David Lametti, and the Prime Minister himself, Justin Trudeau and the nation’s top cop RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki.

An indigenous male suspect had stolen merchandise and assaulted staff at the store. 

As TBPS Officers attempted to make an arrest, the suspect assaulted one Officer and resisted arrest.
