2nd PEARL ST HARLEY BEDWASH-LOON ARRESTED FOR MURDER

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  November 25, 2022 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested a man wanted on an arrest warrant for breaching his probation on Wednesday, November 23,2022.  He was held overnight at Balmoral Police Station and released by Justice of the Peace Nancy Tulloch on Thursday  November 24,2022

TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis failed to notify the public about the warrant or arrest. 

Shortly after his release, Thunder Bay Police arrested the same indigenous male suspect again and charged him with first-degree murder.

NIPIGON, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  November 24, 2022 (LSNews)  On November 21, 2022, members of the Nipigon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11-17 in the Township of Nipigon. As a result of the traffic stop, two residents from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) are facing several drug related charges.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~  November 24, 2022 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested an indigenous male suspect yesterday, Wednesday November 23,2022 after a bottle of 750 ml Crown Royal “Green Apple” Whiskey was stolen from the LCBO at Thunder Center.  

The male suspect was also wanted on a warrant for stealing a 750ml bottle of Bacardi rum on October 5,2022 and he has two outstanding liquor theft charges.

Ontario Investing In Fighting Auto Theft

investing $286,324 to help the Thunder Bay Police Service

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~  November 23, 2022 (LNSews) The provincial government is investing $286,324 to help the Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) implement Automated License Plate Recognition Technology (ALPR).

“These funds will help enhance the system that is in place to alert officers to stolen or expired plates, or plates registered to suspended drivers,” noted Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Kevin Holland. “This can also notify officers of missing and wanted persons and vehicles associated with AMBER alerts, which will be beneficial in northwestern Ontario.”

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~  November 23, 2022 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers responded to an abandoned 911 call at 5:36am this morning, Wednesday November 23,2022 in the 300 block of Mary Street West. 

Officers found an indigenous female with cuts to her forehead & lip.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that a white male suspect had been drinking alcohol and became aggressive towards the female victim, punching her several times in the head causing the injuries.

TBPS Officers initially responded to Thunder Bay Social Housing at 277 Pearl Street on Thursday November 17,2022 at 11:30pm where they found a deceased 37 year old male.
