WANTED THIEF ARRESTED BY TBPS

stealing medical equipment from the Thunder Bay Hospital.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~   December 3, 2022 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested a woman wanted for over two years last evening, Friday, December 2, 2022. 

The white female suspect was wanted on a bench warrant & arrest warrant. 

It’s alleged that she failed to attend court on October 27,2020 on charges of theft, assault & drugs. 

The woman was also wanted on a warrant since February 9,2022 for stealing medical equipment from the Thunder Bay Hospital

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~~   December 3, 2022 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers have busted more drug dealers with guns in Thunder Bay Social Housing yesterday, Friday December 2,2022. 

TBPS Officers received a tip from Thunder Bay Housing that drug dealers may have taken over an elderly tenant’s apartment.  

TBPS Officers responded and located two black males & a white female.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~ December 3, 2022  (LSNews)  Constable Faith Ling, reports in a media release that on  Friday, December 2, 2022 at approximately 9:55 p.m., Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call of a motor vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer unit and a snowplow on Highway 102.

TBFR Quick to respond to structure fire on 100 Block Dease St.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~  December 2, 2022 (LSNews)  Platoon Chief John Kaplanis reports  At approximately 1710hrs (05:10 pm) this evening, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a report of a possible structural fire in the 100 block of Dease St. Upon arrival crews immediately noticed many occupants of a two story duplex exiting the structure. Fire fighters quickly encountered fire in the interior of the home at the rear of the structure. Fire fighters were able to rapidly extinguish the blaze, containing it to one side of duplex and preventing its extension.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~~   December 2, 2022 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers have arrested a junkie wanted on a warrant for a break & enter. 

An arrest warrant was issued on November 16,2022 for the white male suspect. 

It’s alleged that he broke into a home at 235 Secord Street on July 22, 2022 and stole items.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~   December 2, 2022 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers executed a search warrant at 210 Algoma Street South yesterday, Thursday December 1,2022 on two black male suspects from Toronto

 It’s alleged that TBPS Officers seized a significant quantity of fentanyl, cocaine & cash from one black male suspect. 

One source indicates that TWO POUNDS of fentanyl was seized. We have not confirmed that this quantity is correct. 

 Officers also seized over $5000 of cash from the suspect.

On December 1, 2022, members of the OPP responded to a report of a deceased female at a residence on Government Street.

Charges against family for holding private gathering dropped

GODERICH, THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  December 1, 2022 (LSNews)   The Justice Centre is pleased to announce that charges against an Ontario family who were charged under the Reopening Ontario Act for having a small birthday party were dropped on November 2, 2022.

On April 8, 2021, Ontario issued a stay-at-home order that restricted residents from leaving their homes except for certain activities the government deemed to be important. On April 23, 2021, the family gathered at the home of their mother to celebrate a birthday.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~  December 1, 2022 (LSNews)  The parade route starts at Manitoulin Transport on Main St. and comes over the bridge at Intercity to Memorial Ave. Coming North up Memorial Ave to Queen St where in front of the Whole Sale Club and down Fort William Rd will be the Sensory section with no honking or music playing.

Bring your spare change to drop in the buckets of the volunteers to be shared among George Jeffery Children's Centre, Autism Thunder Bay, Special Olympics, and Theraputic Riding.
