Waste Collection Changes for Monday Holiday Thunder Bay

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~ September 23, 2022 (LSNews)  The upcoming National Day for Truth and Reconciliation will result in date changes for waste & recycling collection for Thunder Bay during the week of September 26. City residents with regular waste and recycling collection will receive collection one day earlier.

The following are the new waste collection dates:

There is no collection on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Friday, Sept. 30. The Solid Waste & Recycling Facility (the landfill site) on Mapleward Road will also be closed on this day.

View your updated ReCollect Waste Calendar on the City website at: www.thunderbay.ca/waste, or contact the Infrastructure & Operations Dispatch at 625-2195 for more information.

    Bring your spare change to drop in the buckets of the volunteers to be shared among George Jeffery Children's Centre, Autism Thunder Bay, Special Olympics, and Theraputic Riding.
