SIOUX LOOKOUT OPP ARREST WANTED SUNSHINE METH HEAD

violent robbery that occurred in December

SIOUX LOOKOUT, ONTARIO  ~~~~~  January 21, 2023  (LSNews)   Hardworking Sioux Lookout OPP Officers have made an arrest in relation to a violent robbery that occurred on December 26,2022. 

A warrant was issued for the arrest of 19 year old SUNSHINE WESLEY (May 20,2003) on January 9,2023. 

During the course of the arrest, an OPP Officer was assaulted. A quantity of crystal methamphetamine was also located on the suspect. 

A 19 year old SUNSHINE WESLEY of Cat Lake was criminally charged with:

  • -robbery
  • -assault police officer
  • -possession of crystal methamphetamine 

WESLEY was held overnight at the Sioux Lookout OPP detachment and cried throughout her court appearance this morning. 

WESLEY was transported to the Kenora Jail this morning, Saturday January 21,2023

WESLEY has another court appearance scheduled on Monday January 23,2022

    THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~  December 26, 2022 (LSNews)   On December 14, 2022,  Monte McNaughton, Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. “That’s why our government is the first in North America to require naloxone kits be accessible in at-risk workplaces by June 1, 2023, to raise awareness for those struggling with addiction, reduce stigma and save lives.”

    In 2021, 2,819 people died from opioid-related causes in Ontario – the highest number on record and up from 366 in 2003. Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can temporarily reverse an opioid overdose, restore breathing within two to five minutes, and allow time for medical help to arrive.
