City of Thunder Bay 14th Homicide

The Location appear to be the same as the 3rd Homicide of this year

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~  November 19, 2022 (LSNews)  On Thursday, November 17th Thunder Bay Police were dispatched to the 200 Block on Pearl Street. 
they located the body of a deceased 37-year-old adult male.

Members of the TBPS’s Major Crimes and Forensic Identification Units are involved in the ongoing investigation. Investigators are treating this death as a homicide.

On May 15th, 41. year-old JAMES ANTHONY CHAPAIS was shot to death at 277 Pearl Street. He was  the City of Thunder Bay's 3rd Homicide victim for 2022

The governments of Canada and Ontario celebrated the grand opening of 1100 Donald Street East today, adding eight units of affordable housing in Thunder Bay. The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, and Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay-Superior North, and  Honourable Bill Mauro, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Member of Provincial Parliament for Thunder Bay-Atikokan.

The following projects were celebrated: 

  • Twenty units of affordable housing at 410-412 Victoria Avenue East in Thunder Bay, which received nearly $1.5 million. Eight units are designated for persons with restricted mobility.
  • Eight units of affordable housing at 277 Pearl Street in Thunder Bay, received $383,182.
  • 1100 Donald Street East today, adding eight units received $383,183 in combined federal and provincial funding

This is Thunder Bay's 14th Homicide and we are not being told how many families have lost a child to Drug Use this year. 
We are told about 150 Drug Death 

The Thunder Bay district had the highest opioid-related death rate in Ontario last year.

As of October, NorWest Community Health Centre has reversed overdoses of 117 people by administrating Naloxone

No Ware are you safe from Junkies and their Dealers in Thunder Bay 

McKellar, Westfort, and Current River Wards have the most Homicide this year. Westfort  Ward lead the city in Homicides in 2021. 

Families across the City of Thunder Bay hope that the new members of Thunder  Bay City Council put a stop to the City of Thunder Bay's Drug Strategy Department refuses to Stigmatize Drug Use and refers to Junkies not as Criminal but as people with an Illness like your wife's Breast Cancer or your Prostrate Cancer.

And worse now is not the time to demand that Junkie or Alcoholic not be charged with Impaired driving because they have an illness.

In the meantime, more and more families are losing a son or daughter to Drug Use, 
More and More families are unsafe in their homes for fear of 

  • home invasion
  • home break-in 
  • a thief from the vehicle
  • robbery when walking in their neigbourhood
