Sault Ste Marie Police Service SAULT STE MARIE, ONTARIO ~~~~ December 17, 2022 (LNews) Thanks to the hardworking Patrol officers Soo Police Service report today , officers with Patrol Services arrested 27-year-old Jared Scott in connection with the Albert Street West homicide investigation. Around 3:00 a.m., officers responded to an unrelated call for service in the 0-100 block of Grandview Avenue. Upon responding officers located the accused and they were arrested on the strength of a warrant for second degree murder, and other offences. The accused is charged with, Second Degree Murder Possession of Weapons Dangerous Possession of Loaded Firearm Pointing Firearm Careless Use of a Firearm Carry Concealed Weapon Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Possession of a Firearm Knowing Possession is Unauthorized Fail to Comply with Condition of an Undertaking Fail to Comply with Condition of Judicial Release Order The accused was held in custody pending a WASH court appearance. The investigation is ongoing.
