AMBROSE STREET SHOOTERS HEADED TO THUNDER BAY JAIL

police intercepted an Ontario Northland bus north of Sault Ste. Marie Wednesday morning.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~  January 19, 2023  (LSNews)  Three black males from Toronto have been criminally charged for the Ambrose Street shooting of Kristopher Campbell & Doris Lynn Lawson.

The incident happened in the 200 block of Ambrose Street just before 10:30pm on Tuesday January 17,2023.

Officers responding to a 911 call initially found Doris Lynn Lawson with serious gunshot injuries.

A short time later, KRISTOPHER CAMPBELL v was found in the parking lot of the nearby Gateway Casino.

Officers with the OPP and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service’s tactical unit took the three black male suspects, who are all from Toronto into custody mid-morning Wednesday after swarming an Ontario Northland bus north of Sault Ste. Marie.

An 18 year old KAYSHAN ROBERTSON (August 28,2004) of Toronto has been criminally charged with:

  • -attempted murder X 2

An 18 year old JAYDEN BOWEN (March 29,2004) of Toronto has been criminally charged with:

  • -attempted murder X 2

A 20 year old ISAIAH BROOMFIELD (November 12,2002) of Toronto has been criminally charged with:

  • -accessory to attempted murder after the fact X 2 (helping to escape)

They were all transported to Balmoral Police Station and held overnight.

They are all being transported to Thunder Bay Jail this morning, Thursday January 19,2023.

All three men have court appearances scheduled on Wednesday January 25,2023

    THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~  December 26, 2022 (LSNews)   On December 14, 2022,  Monte McNaughton, Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. “That’s why our government is the first in North America to require naloxone kits be accessible in at-risk workplaces by June 1, 2023, to raise awareness for those struggling with addiction, reduce stigma and save lives.”

    In 2021, 2,819 people died from opioid-related causes in Ontario – the highest number on record and up from 366 in 2003. Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can temporarily reverse an opioid overdose, restore breathing within two to five minutes, and allow time for medical help to arrive.
