SAULT STE MARIE, ONTARIO ~~~~~  December 1, 2022 (LSNews)  The Soo Greyhounds, LETR, and the Special Olympics Ontario - Sault Ste Marie Branch are teaming up to raise awareness about the importance of individuals with an intellectual disability during an upcoming Greyhounds home game.

Together, we champion inclusion, acceptance and offer opportunities to many athletes in the Region to participate and thrive in sport.  Thank you!” - Glenn MacDonell, President and CEO – Special Olympics Ontario

“The Special Olympics provides athletes an incredible opportunity to strive for their goals in competition and build lasting relationships with their fellow competitors. I am proud of the dedication our members have for Special Olympic athletes and the values of Special Olympics Ontario (SOO). Committing to this initiative is rewarding for our members as they see the joy it brings the athletes and their family and friends.” – Chief Hugh E. Stevenson, M.O.M., Ed.D – Sault Ste.
