Ontario Arts Council (OAC) funding to the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.
Announced by MP Holland and Minister Lumsden Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport,
THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~~~ October 21, 2022 (LSNews) Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Kevin Holland unveiled the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) funding to the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.
MPP Holland made the announcement of $106,622 on behalf of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Neil Lumsden.
Art enriches the lives of people in Ontario and plays an important role in the economy,” said MPP Holland. “Congratulations to the Thunder Bay Art Gallery for receiving the Ontario Arts Council’s operating support grants for not-for-profit public art galleries.”
The OAC delivers over 50 funding programs for Ontario-based artists and arts organizations.
ABOUT THUNDER BAY ART GALLERY
The gallery presents exhibitions with a distinctive focus on contemporary Indigenous artists and artists from northwestern Ontario. It also offers public programs and educational initiatives.

Kevin Holland was elected to be the Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Thunder Bay-Atikokan after previously serving as the Mayor of the Township of Conmee. Over the 30 years on council, Kevin served on multiple boards and most recently served as the First Vice-Chair of the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) and as a board member of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association.
He also served as a Director for the Ontario Association of Police Services Boards, Chair of the Ontario Provincial Police/Lakehead Police Services Board, Chair of the Conmee Non-Profit Housing Corporation, and as Vice-Chair of the Thunder Bay District Social Services Administration Board.
