Until now, non-residents needed to register their off-highway motorcycle (OHM) in Wisconsin to operate on trails or other publicly established corridors.

Starting May 15, passengers can board the iconic yellow and blue tour boats for a 90-minute tour through the Soo Locks to enjoy highlights of the American and Canadian shorelines.

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, MICHIGAN ~~~~~~ April 9, 2021 (LSN) This past week Chippewa County Health Department (CCHD) was approached by the Lake Carriers’ Association and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to collaborate on vaccinating crew members on the Great Lakes’ area ships. Since that proposal which was presented on Monday, CCHD staff will have vaccinated approximately 50 crew members on five ships with additional crew members to be vaccinated next week. The crews are receiving Johnson & Johnson vaccine and second dose Moderna vaccine.

Each kit contains resources to stop or control bleeding such as tourniquets, trauma bandages, gauze, shears, an emergency blanket, and personal protective equipment.
CHIPPEWA COUNTY, MICHIGAN ~~~~~~ April 6, 2021 (LSN) The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) notified Chippewa County Health Department (CCHD) that the MDHHS Bureau of Laboratories identified the COVID-19 variant B.1.1.7 in two Chippewa County residents.
NORTHERN, WISCONSIN ~~~~~ April 6, 2021 (LSN) The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is reminding Wisconsinites to get ready for the upcoming 2021 spring turkey hunt happening April 21 - June 1.
The 2021 spring turkey hunt includes six, seven-day periods running Wednesday through the following Tuesday. Each of the DNR’s seven turkey management zones will be open for hunting.
MADISON, WISCONSIN ~~~~~~ April 5, 2021 (LSN) Gov. Tony Evers today signed Executive Order #110 declaring a State of Emergency in response to elevated wildfire conditions throughout Wisconsin.
Today, all of Wisconsin is at very high fire danger. The combination of dry vegetation, unseasonably warm temperatures, low relative humidity and increasing south or southeast winds will lead to continued elevated fire weather conditions.

This statewide network of natural resources professionals will help local communities prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS) and protect their local waters' health.
